Software Engineers for Back-End Development
About The Role
As a Software Engineer your role will be developing and maintaining both in house and customer facing applications/integrations. Development can focus from initial PoC to full production product, using public and private blockchains to solve real-world problems in a variety of sectors.
This role represents an excellent opportunity to be hands on and involved in the latest cybersecurity and blockchain techniques and technologies and suits an engineer who is interested and committed.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient micro services distributed architecture
- Build prototypes for visualizing and validating concepts
- Develop and maintain products and tools based on existing technologies
- Consult external partners on best practices and Guardtime technology
- Support team members in accomplishing mutual goals
- Translate software requirements into stable, working, high performance software
Profile:
Bright, self-starter, ability to work autonomously and proactively
Strong development background with scalable systems
Knowledge of common practices and core design patterns
Experience in developing web services or database driven applications
- Experience in rapid prototyping, agile development
Required:
- BSc or MSc degree in CS or equivalent years of work experience
- Strong design/coding skills in object-oriented languages (in GoLang or Java)
- Knowledge of data structure design and concurrent programming techniques
- Familiarity with networking and data format standardization
- Strong understanding of InfoSec
- Confidence in expressing product development ideas
- Ability to work under own initiative and also as part of a small team
- Confidence in expressing product development ideas to a variety of business and technology focused people
- Excellent communication skills, willingness to work in the multicultural and multi-language company
- Fluent in English
